喜劇片馴悍記1967于1967年在美國上映，劇情講述了 主角悍女Katarina出名潑辣，生男勿近，而她的妹妹Bianca卻是一位溫柔嫻婌的萬人迷。做父親的慘成禍心，或許受不了大女兒Katarina的氣焰凌遲，他居然徇私剝奪妹妹談戀愛的自由，直至姐姐嫁得出為止。那些傾慕妹妹的眾生皆因此頭疼，苦思后度出一計，就是找一隻替死鬼娶姐姐。Katarina性格暴躁、脾氣倔強，找不到任何一個敢娶她的男人，在心不甘情不愿的情況下，她嫁給了高大結實的大胡子男人Petruchio。Petruchio一心要把Katarina訓練成百依百順的好妻子，所以他采取了“以暴制暴”的方式，最后終于馴服了Katarina的一身傲骨。 Franco Zeffirelli's adaptation of William Shakespeare's play about love and marriage.
